About

“Here beyond be dragons” aims to be an cinematronic engine and in its final stage it is going to be an unrealMod. The shortest descripition would be “reconstructing film space inside of an unreal engine”.


The emphasis of the work is on the Kubricks “Space odyssey 2001”. You will be able to play your way through the key scenes of the film, with “quotations” from other films (Voyage a la lune, Matrix, Stalker). The theoretical background is the prediction of approaching technological singularity as the key moment in human history, and the main goal of the work is exploration of human nature as opposed to nature (refering to physis, φύσις) > opposed to machine consciousness > opposed to divine creation.

The project is now in production phase. The deadline is January 2007.
